In every environment, I transformed, adapting my appearance to navigate the complexities of identity within and beyond my community. From the traditional streets of Borough Park to the vibrant, modern corners of Manhattan, each version of myself was a reflection of my journey to find authenticity. 

Marrying outside of my faith added another layer of complexity, and I found myself blending traditions, creating a tapestry of identity that is uniquely my own. 

Each element—the Star of David, the Om symbol, the hint of new experiences—tells the story of exploration and transformation. “The Chameleon” is a celebration of that journey, a tribute to the strength found in embracing every facet of who we are. It is confounding the shame we feel and confronting the shadow. 

Because if I'm not for me, then who is? And when I'm only for myself, what am I? And if not now, then when?
